About The Event
We are inviting community members, families, and visitors to join us for a three-day Elders Gathering at beautiful Lac John, Québec from August 20–22, 2026. This gathering is a time to slow down, come together, and reconnect—with each other, with the land, and with the teachings that continue to guide our people forward.
Throughout the weekend, Elders will share knowledge through storytelling, conversation, traditional teachings, and time spent together in a respectful space. This is a chance for the younger generations to listen and learn, for families to strengthen bonds, and for everyone to leave feeling grounded, encouraged, and proud. The focus is on community, culture, and connection—creating a welcoming environment where people can gather in a good way.
